Christoph has been teaching political science with an emphasis on political theory and comparative politics at MLU since 2007.
Prior to joining the department he was a stipendiary lecturer at Humboldt University, Berlin.
He has been a visiting fellow at NYU’s Remarque Institute, New York, and the Center for European Excellence ‘Villa Vigoni’ in Italy.
Areas of interests and expertise include: European integration (soon possibly an oxymoron); immigration, race and the politics of civic stratification; human rights; and the nexus of poverty and democracy.
His current work deals with the EU’s immigration crisis and political conservatism in the U.S. and Europe.
Publikationen
His new book "Migration and the Crisis of Democracy in Contemporary Europe" will be published by Palgrave Macmillan in Spring 2021.
